We’ve quickly grown to over 1,000 customers throughout the US and Canada, and we’re hiring stellar folks to join our early-stage startup.
We are seeking an experienced (6+ years) engineer who wants to join a small, diverse, and fast-growing team. As an early team member, you will work in all areas of the Fisherman products and across our entire stack. You will operate independently, engage with the team in discussion settings, and mentor other engineers. You will contribute to improving Fisherman’s development processes, increase the reliability of our core services, and build scalable system architecture. Specific types of work will include:
Build e-commerce infrastructure to support orders and payments on customer websites
Create point-of-sale integrations with Fisherman’s partner organizations
Design and implement tooling to rapidly launch new component and site designs
Build features to help us create the next generation of Fisherman’s automation technology
Implement scalable, flexible, and configurable content management systems for internal and external use
Javascript - React, Gatsby
Python - Django
PostgreSQL - Docker and Amazon RDS
AWS - S3, CloudFront, CloudFormation, EB, IAM, Route53
Docker, Kubernetes
Agile - Daily standups, two week sprints with retrospectives, and full-team planning using Shortcut (formerly Clubhouse) for task management
6+ years working with Python web frameworks
6+ years working with Javascript, especially using web application frameworks Angular, React, or Vue
A strong background creating automated unit, integration & end-to-end tests with experience configuring the tooling that executes them
Experience managing and deploying applications within GCP, AWS, or Azure
You have built web-based e-commerce solutions, and have experience with physical delivery and payment integrations
Strong English reading and writing
